NAPLAN Resources
Most Australian teachers of literacy and numeracy know that last 2 years of NAPLAN tests are online at http://www.naplan.edu.au/
You can print out a test and give it to the students and see how they go... but that is a lot of marking to do and then entering it into spreadsheets for analysis.
The other option is to use TurningPoint Anywhere and have the questions projected on screen. As most of the NAPLAN is multi choice it is perfect for gathering this type of data. Then it is just a case of running the report to get the marking done.
This has just hit my radar as well - http://www.naplanonline.net.au/ - if you have some lab time you can get the students to do a couple of these - again all marked for you.
Take the stress out of NAPLAN preparation.

TurningPoint Anywhere
TurningPoint Anywhere for both Mac and PC has been upgraded!
TPA is now more Mac like for the PC - with a larger toolbar and more options. It also allows you pull reports in HTML format. So you don't need MS Excel to get your reports out of the data. There are obviously less reporting options but it does mean that if you do want to bypass MS products but still use TP you can.
So what does this mean -
Well for all of you who use Open Office or any of the online programs such as Google Docs (used with gears you can do some stuff offline), it still means you can get feedback from your audience, and get your reports.
Added to this is the opportunity to set up the questions, answers and correct answers from within TPA before running you presentation. You can still use the participant lists as well. This give a less on the fly feel to your presentations and fills out your reports with more information.
All this adds up to TPA being a great tool to add to your ARS/SRS grab bag.

TP Anywhere for Mac
Great news
Turning Point Anywhere for mac has been released - this is massive because now you can use TurningPoint in Keynote or any other mac program. It also solve the problem of the new Mac Office version that just didn't work like the old one.
For a change the Mac version looks a little more featured than the Windows version so now I can really get some traction in some of the Mac only schools in Perth.
Now eBeam has to step up and fix some of the stuff in the Mac version of Interact to include recording.
